First day of school and everything is working well. Students have taken a pretest for UNT and then collaborated on a design project using electrical snap kits. They had to design, build and then relate it to their daily life. It was a great icebreaker. Even aquatics can introduce engineering into their curriculum.

Sudent have picked groups and topics today on Water Properties. Each group has to explain a property of water and then demonstrate it and relate it to aquatic ecosystems. The relating part is the hardest part for them. It will be interesting to see how they do on their water properties demonstration on Thursday,
This year I am going to have students blog on their aquarium project. If it works we will do it next term.
